"7-Eleven" Lana Lang Slurpee Cup (DC Comics 1973)

In 1973 the convenient store chain "7-Eleven" offered a free superhero plastic cup with the purchase of a Slurpee. These collectors' cups featured superheroes and villains from both DC and Marvel comics. There were four major sets distributed: a 1973 DC Comics edition, two 1975 Marvel Comics editions, and a 1977 Marvel comics set. The front of the 1973 DC Comics cups displayed an image of the character along with their name printed on it. On the back it showcased a "7-Eleven" logo and a brief summary of the character's origin. There were a total of 60 different cups in this DC Comics set and Lana Lang's character is one of them! A checklist was also issued so one could keep track of the whole collection (see below).

This white plastic Slurpee cup has Lana Lang looking lovely in her traditional comic green attire. The artist is unknown, but there is some speculation that it could have been either Kurt Schaffenberger or Curt Swan; both prominent comic book artists of that time.

In May 2008, TONNER released a 16" Lana Lang doll which was introduced and exclusive to the TONNER Convention themed "Lunch at the Daily Planet." It was sold as a limited edition 'companion doll' (LE300). It was a limited edition of only 300 dolls. Absolutely stunning; with that gorgeous red hair!

TONNER dolls and their trademarked "Character Figures" are manufactured and designed by renowned doll artist and designer Robert Tonner and his company team. They produce both licensed and non-licensed collectible figures geared towards avid doll enthusiasts and collectors from all over the world. According to their website, these dolls are crafted of the highest quality vinyl and hard plastic. In addition, their TONNER products are known for their intricate features such as "hand-painted details, rooted saran hair, and costuming that reflect both the attention to detail and designers touch."

I attended San Diego's Comic Con in 2008, a few months after its release and spoke with a TONNER representative inquiring about the status of the Lana Lang doll (I really wanted one) and informed me that they were all sold out – that she was a very popular doll!" Sadly, there is still no information on whether more versions of this Lana Lang doll will be made available in their regular "DC Stars" line.

Exclusive 'WB' Over-Sized Comic-Con 2008 Bag

A great exclusive 'Warner Bros.' over-sized bag featuring 'Smallville's' Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk).  It was one of the most sought after bags at San Diego's Comic-Con in 2008. It measures 26 inches-by-29 inches (Huge!) and it promoted the new wb.com website launched that year. The bag also features Lana's love, Clark Kent (Tom Welling) as well as characters from various other WB shows including Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars, and Angel.

'Smallville' Lana Lang Newspaper Clipping Prop

The website 'MovieSniped', posted a very neat one-of-a-kind Lana Lang related prop used in an episode of 'Smallville'. It was originally purchased at a 'Smallville' Liquidation sale and then sold on eBay for $207.51. The prop is from the powerful episode titled "Promise" in which Lana finally discovers the truth about Clark. In the scene, Lana suddenly wakes up from a dream where she sees herself being rescued by Clark from a tornado (season 1 reference). She then runs to Lex's library and pulls a book from the shelf and opens it and there she looks at a torch clipping found inside 'this' book.

'Smallville' Stone of Knowledge Replica Prop

The website 'MovieSniped.com' also posted for auction this very cool 'Smallville' replica prop of the "Stone of knowledge." According to the site, it is made of pewter (silver) and is hollow inside. It sold on eBay for $405.00. The 'stone of knowledge' played a central part throughout the show's 4th season. Most notably in the episode "Sacred" when Lana, while possessed by her ancestor Isobel, battled with Clark for it. Also, in the image you can see "Lana's stone" containing the Kryptonian symbol connected with Lana.

'Superboy Lana Lang Kitty' By Stacy Haiduk

A wonderful hand-made creation by the talented Stacy Haiduk for her 'Save A Kitty' auction in May of 2012. The 'Lana Lang Kitty' design was made in honor of her role as Lana Lang in the 1980s 'Superboy' TV series where she played Lana for 4 seasons. It was created on an XL white T-shirt and autographed by Stacy.

"Every kitty deserves a chance at a good life. I always take in rescues and meeting the Women who started 'Save a Kitty' showed me what is possible with love and care." ~ Stacy Haiduk
